In fact, we lost very little business with the opening of a
large coffee shop chain down the street, and in fact our
current level of business is higher than before that shop
opened its doors. We feel that it is our unique environment
that has allowed us to compete so effectively against these
larger rivals.
An integral part of our coffee shop business strategy has
always been to provide locals and visitors alike with a
comfortable place to hang out and enjoy a refreshing beverage.
Part of our appeal focuses on the inclusion of special
features, such as reading areas, computer access stations and
special listening stations for our customers to enjoy.
Objectives
As our company has continued to grow, so too have our
objectives and goals for future growth. We believe that the
coffee shop business models we have employed in our original
coffee shop are repeatable, and we intend to use our past
experience to create additional coffee shops in different
areas of our region.
Despite the prevalence of chain coffee stores, we feel that
our area is underserved with high quality independent coffee
shops, and we intend to help close the gap between what is
available and what is desired.
We also intend to grow our business by continuing to introduce
new and exciting coffee drinks and other beverages, both hot
and cold.
The introduction of frozen coffee drinks has been highly
successful, and we intend to build on the success of those
offerings in order to expand our menu and continue to grow our
