Our marketing strategy has been focused on a number of
important and potentially lucrative local venues, including
large local employers, local schools and colleges and those
interested in purchasing gourmet coffees for brewing at home.
The introduction of a line of freshly ground gourmet coffees
from around the world has been a major boon to our bottom
line, and we intend to grow that part of our marketing program
aggressively.
A big part of the marketing campaign for our coffee shop
business has also been to advertise aggressively in the local
newspaper, particularly in the local section and the weekend
insert.
In addition to our regularly purchased newspaper ads, we have
been able to convince the local editor of our newspaper to
produce several stories about our coffee shop business.
This coverage has been invaluable to the growth of our
business, and we continue to pursue and take full advantage of
these unique opportunities.
In addition to our regular newspaper advertising, we used an
aggressive campaign of promotional flyers when we first opened
our business, and this strategy proved to be a winning one.
In fact, the success of the coupons we included with our
flyers led us to include a number of similar coupons in our
local telephone directory. These coupons also served us well,
and we intend to use this type of marketing strategy to its
maximum effect going forward. |
